"I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbors children. I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived."

Fun Facts About Grace

I was inspired by another friend's blog to write down some fun facts about our little Grace.
1. Her hair sticks up in the back and some in the middle, like a mohawk, EVEN if I comb it over with water.
2. She loves to carry stuffed things with her everywhere she goes. First it was a monkey, then the monkey and a puppy, now, she has entered the world of dolls and has to take it with her everywhere she goes.
3. She is beginning to walk, take a few steps on her own, and even stood up in the middle of the floor once.
4. She loves to play with bellybuttons.
5. If you ask her to bring you a book, she grabs one and brings it to you and sits on your lap and listens while you read, then she does it again.
6. She LOVES the bath, so much in fact that she cries if you are in the shower and she is not. She pulls back the shower curtain and tires to climb in!
7. She has 4 teeth on top, and 4 on the bottom.
8. She turns 1 this month!! (April)
9. She likes popcorn.
10. She loves going up the stairs, and has only fallen once! (no broken bones, thankfully)

Fun! Hey, how did you get her to like the bath so much? Eldon is alright, but the shower part with Grace surprised me. We sometimes try and let Dad and Eldon have a quick shower together, but he gets scared and cries the whole time. Do you have any tricks or games that are especially good for bath time?
