The Innocence of a Child

Grace, like most little girls, pretends she, and her animals and any object really, is going to have a baby. I sure wish it was as easy as she makes it, "Okay, she's going to have a baby, pop, pop, pop, oh she's so cute!" If only pregnancy, labor and delivery were so easy! I would have 10 kids for sure :)
We made bagels today, turned out delicious, go here to try them yourself!!

Let it Snow, let it snow, let it snow.

Finally we got snow! A bunch! We got about 6 inches the first time and 2 more the second. I am actually not a fan of snow, I don't go outside and play in it, but it has its perks! Like the kids love it, it covers all the yucky brown of winter and it muffles the sounds of the cars on our busy street and people drive less when the roads are icy/snowy so my busy street is even quieter! Grant and Grace built a snowman.

After Christmas

Christmas was super quiet and lonely, but here are some highlights. Grace with the hand-me-down playhouse she loved!

Thaddeus' train. If I hadn't named him I'd think that was his middle name!

And a random photo of how Thaddeus makes good use of our magnetic letters! He has learned quite a few of their names though, don't let him fool you!!

And one comment concerning attention spans. We all complain that children won't sit long enough etc, but I have learned that adults can be just as bad. I am speaking of myself. I have been in primary/nursery so long that to sit through Relief Society or Sunday School is almost torture. Try as I might to focus and find things that are new and interesting (no matter the skill of the teacher) I find my mind wanders and I can focus for only a few minutes before I am wondering to myself what Sister Jones' skirt is made of. With the new year we lost 12 of our 17 nursery children and so the last hour I have been sneaking out to go to RS. I don't know how long I can keep it up though! :)
