"I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbors children. I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived."

The cast is OFF!!!

So we went to the doctor on Wednesday and they took an x-ray and the doctor said it had made a good graft and sawed off his cast! Now we just have to wait a week or two for him to gain enough strength to walk again! But, life is already 100% easier!

Diaper Changes

So, many of you asked how we change his diaper. Well, there is a hole in his diaper area around his parts and we push the diaper up under the cast as much as we can in the front and back and then secure it with a onsie. It works pretty slick actually, except when you forget to change it and he leaks all over the inside of his cast :) No, that totally didn't happen to us! :) Twice!!
Thanks for your concern, he is getting better, sleeps almost all night and crawls around like a little navy seal really! We see the docter on Wednesday and we'll find out what the plan is for getting it off or maybe changing casts? We can hope!
