"I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbors children. I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived."

School's Out for the Summer!!!

Well, we are done with school for the summer! Grant took his last final on Tuesday and we are 99.9% sure he got a 4.0 this semester, even in his hard physics class! He was talking to some of the other guys in his class and they got C's and D's on the final and Grant got a 98! We are very proud!

The weather here has warmed up substantially! Grace and I now hang out down by the river in the evenings to catch cooler breezes. The river has also been flooding a little so we go down to the path and play in the water.

Grant is taking it easy this summer, only working one job. We are pretty excited to have him home all day! The bike riding has been going well, I haven't taken a picture yet to post. Grace gets mad because her helmet falls over her eyes! And, she usually falls asleep. We even rode our bikes to church today! A few people thought we were the Elders :)

New Toy

We bought a used trailer, very similar to this one this weekend. It has the stroller kit and everything. The coolest thing is that the stroller wheel is always on it, and all you have to do is fold it up, and then down when you want it. It is used, a little dirty and a snap needs fixed but we are excited to get out on our bikes. I haven't ridden my bike since Grace was born because I couldn't take her with me. Now we can go to far a way places and not have to walk! We are making it our goal to drive only when we want to go visit our families so a bike trailer will make it a lot easier. Gas prices stink so we are just skipping the whole deal! We will save enough money in gas to pay for the trailer in 1 and a half months! JOY!

And as an update, we still can't go out for our anniversary, we are shooting for 2 weeks from yesterday, I'll keep you posted on our success or lack thereof :)

New Callings

Well, we haven't gotten to go out for our Anniversary yet, and won't be able to for 2 weeks, oh well. We did get some callings this Sunday at church, Grant is the ward PFR (physical facilities representative) he is in charge mostly of cleaning the church on Saturdays, not doing it himself but getting everyone else to come. I get to be the Gospel Doctrine teacher for the adults. Fun!
