"I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbors children. I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived."

Learning

I am really enjoying this kindergarten stage of Grace's life.  She is learning and growing so quickly!  It has been said many times, by me as well, that children just don't change as much as they do the first year of life, but I am going to have to disagree.  Grace has changed so much this year in kindergarten!  Learned so many new things and grown in confidence.  Here is her latest creation, all on her own, no help.

Speaking of first year of life, Madelyn has learned how to crawl inside our kitchen cupboards.  I think this must be a rite of passage.  You cannot grow up until you have crawled into at least one cupboard.  (and emptied everything inside onto the floor at least a dozen times, a day)

Thaddeus isn't changing a whole lot.  He is a tricky kid though!  He is learning how to trick people.  He loves to knock on the wall, or table and then say, "Oh, someone is here"  or he'll be looking out the window and say, "Mom, _________ is here!" if we are waiting for a friend. (but they aren't)  If you send him into another room looking for something he will come back and say, "I can't find it" but he is hiding it behind his back.

Got Cute Baby?

Okay, I did a little more digging and blogger isn't broken, or it is, but they are "fixing it" if google is anything like Idaho road construction, it will be a while!  So, here are some pictures of my cute baby.  People tell me she is the cutest.....okay, Grant :)

Her hair stands straight up after you take the pigtail out, until you wash her hair again!

What?

So, I came to my blog to update you all on our wonderful life :) and tried to upload the cutest picture of Madelyn with one pigtail on the top of her head but come to find out, the option to add pictures from my computer is no longer there.  So, I guess that means no more pictures for you. :(  I do not want Google Chrome (which sounds like it will give me that option) and I don't want to have to upload my pictures to Picasa or whatever just to upload them again to my blog.  I think I am going to send Google a complaint.  Sorry you cannot see cute pictures of my cute children!

Snow, snow, snow

Yesterday we went in search of snow.  We have NO SNOW in our valley.  Thankfully, we live close to a hill/mountain that does.  The kids were almost asleep before we got there (they stayed up kinda late for new years eve)  We found snow in a park, which was good.  My idea was to pull off to the side of the road by a farmers field.  The snow was so powdery that we didn't really play in it so they wouldn't have had much fun in a field, they had more fun zooming down the slides!  Madelyn didn't know what to think.  She wasn't very impressed!
I don't know how to turn videos, if you do, feel free to share.  Turn your computer I guess :)  (watch them, they are funny!)
